Chandigarh : Haryana police has arrested two criminals after an encounter at Badli village in Nuh district. However, during the encounter two police personnel sustain bullets injuries, said a spokesman of Haryana Police Department.

Gving details he said that police had received a tip-off that a dreaded criminal and parole jumper Mustaq, who is wanted in heinous cases in Rajasthan and had earlier killed an ASI in year 2011, could be hidden along with his associates in village Badli in Punhana area.

Criminals hidden at the first floor of a house opened fire at police team from the top of the house and tried to flee. In an attempt to overpower one of the offender EHC Chanderpal sustained bullet injury in stomach. Head Constable, Krishan also sustained bullet injury on his head. While Chanderpal is being treated at Medanta in Gurugram, Krishan is under observation of neurosurgeon in the same hospital.

During raid, Police had nabbed two accused involved in this incident which have been identified as Adil and Hafiz, both resident of village Badli.

He said that the primary investigations revealed that Mustaq has 20 cases registered against him across various police stations of Nuh, Faridabad, Palwal, Gurugram and Rajasthan and also a known criminal in Mewat area. His siblings are used to engage in criminal activities like theft and robbery in the area. Apprehended accused Adil and Hafiz are siblings of dreaded criminal Mustaq. Adil has recently been released on bail. All the siblings are involved in criminal activities for a long time and several cases are registered against them.

The spokesman said that police teams had been constituted to arrest the remaining absconding accused involved in this case. Cases under various sections of Indian Penal Code were registered against them. Raids were being conducted and all the offenders would be nabbed soon, he added.
