Panipat : In order to keep youth away from drugs and help them bring laurels to the state and their area, Haryana Police Department would provide sports equipment to the needy sports persons of rural areas participating in various sports events, Director General of Police (DGP) B S Sandhu said while addressing the sarpanches and people of various villages of Madlauda block in an Open Darbar organized at Panipat.
Transport and Housing Minister, Krishan Lal Panwar was also present on this occasion.
The state government has appointed nodal officers for reviewing the progress of various development works being undertaken at block level so that the work could be further expedited, he said.
In the same series, Mr Sandhu has been assigned Madlauda block.
He listened to the grievances of people and gave necessary directions to the concerned officers to redress the same at the earliest, a release said.
“Awareness camps would soon be organized in Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) and engineering colleges to make aware the students about the process of availing education loan for pursuing higher education,” he added.
He said that a loan mela would also be organized in district Panipat in the first week of August.
Transport and Housing Minister, Krishan Lal Panwar suggested that detailed information about various welfare schemes of the state government should also be made available to the people in such open darbars so that the people could take benefit of the same.
